Women's Soccer defeats Victor Valley College

SMC women's soccer team took on Victor Valley to win 2-1 over the Rams. After a 2-0 defeat to Santa Barbara City College Tuesday, the Corsairs were looking to end the 2017 preseason with a win before entering regular season play.

The Corsairs will enter Western State Conference play after ending the preseason with a record of 7-3-2.  The team has scored 27 goals, earning a total of 68 points.  The Corsairs are currently ranked 20th in the state of California and 11th in the Southern region. Josselline Espinoza leads the Corsairs with 8 goals and 3 assists totaling 19 points. Espinoza is followed by Daysi Serrano with 6 goals totaling 12 points.

SMC will face Glendale on Tuesday October 10th at 7pm at Glendale College.
